Medication Guides

Logo

The medication guides provide streamlined information on the administration of biologic, antiresorptive, and other medications used to treat patients with rheumatic disease.

The guides are intended to assist rheumatologists, advanced practice providers (NP and PA), health professionals new to rheumatology, or people who need basic information about the agents.

 Clinical Alert

The ACR is monitoring regional supply constraints affecting the biosimilar Tyenne (tocilizumab-aazg) shortage due to increased demand. To support continuity of care, rheumatologists should audit affected patient rosters, assess cross-formulation alternatives, expedite insurance overrides for alternative IL-6 inhibitors when needed, and report local outages through the FDA Drug Shortages Public Portal.

The ACR will provide members with updates and several resources in the coming days and weeks. For concerns or payer issues contact the ACR at practice@rheumatology.org.
