Subcommittee Description

The ACR Guidance Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the Committee of Quality Care.

Responsibilities

The ACR Guidance Subcommittee reviews proposals and manuscripts for guidance and consensus documents that fall outside of guidelines and criteria to provide feedback and ensure alignment with the ACR framework and organizational priorities.

The ACR staff is responsible for the administration and project management of all initiatives and programs.

Time Commitments

Meetings

  • Virtual: Quarterly for 1–2 hours (during business hours)
  • In Person: During ACR Convergence (for 1 hour)

Asynchronous Work

  • Approximately 1–3 hours per quarter

Recommended Qualifications

The ACR Guidance Subcommittee welcomes all interested volunteers at all career levels and in private or academic practice settings.

Interested participants for this subcommittee should have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience in systematic and narrative literature reviews, epidemiology, decision analysis, quality improvement, and frameworks for achieving consensus
  • Passion for advancing patient care and evidence-based medicine
  • Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence
  • Collaborative, flexible, adaptive, and inclusive to all
  • Good verbal and written communication skills while being able to be an active listener
