The ACR Practice Innovation Summit 2026 is designed for rheumatology professionals seeking practical strategies to strengthen independent and community-based practice. The summit will feature expert-led sessions focused on practice management, reimbursement, workforce challenges, value-based care, advocacy, technology integration, operational efficiency, patient access, and financial sustainability.
Attendees will engage with thought leaders and peers in an interactive environment designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and real-world problem solving for rheumatology practices.
On-demand access will include recordings of select sessions and Q&A discussions following the meeting.
Target Audience
Rheumatologists, physicians, advanced practice providers, practice administrators, healthcare executives, billing and coding professionals, and other healthcare professionals involved in rheumatology practice operations and patient care.
Learning Objectives

The Practice Innovation Summit 2025 was an in-person event held from October 24–25, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois.
This inaugural pre-ACR Convergence practice management program is a must-attend event for rheumatology professionals seeking to build smarter, stronger, and financially sustainable practices. Designed specifically for clinicians, practice managers, and interprofessional team members in community and private practice settings, this dynamic two-day summit provides the actionable strategies and expert insights needed to build a thriving private practice in today’s evolving healthcare landscape.

Target Audience
Rheumatologists in private/community settings, practice and office managers, advanced practice providers and interprofessional team members and professionals unable to attend ACR Convergence but looking for valuable business and clinical education.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Develop and implement a rheumatology infusion program by identifying facility requirements, staffing needs, and essential operational workflows.
- Improve patient care and experience through strategies that enhance patient flow, comfort, and quality during infusion therapy.
- Analyze and apply billing and reimbursement strategies for ancillary services to improve financial sustainability.
- Identify and evaluate ancillary revenue opportunities such as imaging, physical therapy, and clinical trials for integration into rheumatology practices.
- Integrate new team members effectively by designing workflows that incorporate advanced practice providers (APPs) and new physicians into patient care models.
- Negotiate and manage insurance contracts using data-driven strategies to secure favorable terms and prepare for value-based and risk-based payment models.
